Job Description:

As a senior member of the Canada IT Network Engineering team, reporting to the Manager of Network Engineering, the Analyst will be responsible for the overall design of the Canada wide IP data communications network and provide third level support of the firm’s network infrastructure which includes data switching and routing, WAN optimization and wireless access. The successful candidate will be expected to formulate strategy, develop business cases, lead network implementation projects, deliver presentations to senior management and provide training to team members and staff with operational responsibility.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, the Analyst will have:

- College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, or Engineering
- Industry recognized certifications from Cisco (e.g. CCNP/CCIE)
- 8 years practical experience in an enterprise environment implementing and supporting data and Voice-over-IP (VoIP) network services
- Strong written, oral communications and presentation skills
- Extensive experience working with enterprise class network infrastructure
- Proven ability to deal with concurrent projects in a dynamic environment
- Excellent problem resolution skills
- Customer focus and ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others

Role:

- Act as a subject matter expert in data networking with VoIP technology
- Design and implement network infrastructure in support of business and technical initiatives
- Develop and maintain network architectural blueprints and technology roadmaps
- Conduct research, document results, recommend and implement new network technologies
- Build and execute operational readiness plans in preparation for launch of new networking services
- Assist in the identification of opportunities and provide recommendations to improve service levels, minimize risk and reduce cost
- Comfortable communicating technical concepts to peers and senior management
- Conduct trainings and provide coaching to technical team members on data networking technology
- Provide third level network support and facilitate escalation of problems to vendors, participate in pager rotation
- Support PwC’s enterprise strategy, planning activities and adhere to PwC Global Security standards and guidelines
- Follow established change management processes and project management best practices
- Track time allocated to all initiatives and daily activities
- Maintain a good working relationship with the external third parties including software
and OEM vendors

Cisco wireless LAN Access (both autonomous and lightweight access points)
Juniper firewalls and VPN gateways
National MPLS WAN (eigrp, BGP and route redistributions)
Application network services (Cisco ACE and CSS load balancers, Bluecoat proxy servers,
Riverbed WAN accelerators)
Cisco PoE and Quality of Service (QoS)including packet classification, marking, queuing, shaping, and policing in a variety of network devices
Network management and troubleshooting tools (CiscoWorks, Netscout nGenius, Compuware Application Vantage)
Network security on all supported technologies
